The wrench was a Craftsman Universal Wrench – 13mm. It was the only one with thin enough walls to handle the tight space. Ratcheting wrenches had too wide a head to get in there on one side.

only a $10 cancellation fee. Not sure if the management would honor selling a spot. That is not fair to those on the wait list.

    Cancellation policy:
A $10 cancellation fee will be charged if you cancel prior to close of registration. You will be issued a credit for the balance you paid, so if you paid $50, you will have a Motorsport Reg credit for $40 to be used at a future GGC autocross event. This credit will expire one year from the date you cancelled. If you cancel AFTER the close of registration, or you do not show up, no refund or credit will be given.

The Z428i is listed as as almost 300lbs lighter than a Z435is (3263lbs vs 3549lbs). The rule of thumb is that each 100lbs is worth roughly about 1pt. So that is 3 points. The Z435is has more torque (we mostly use torque, not HP) and that accounts for why it is only 2 points and not 3 points. Keep in mind that the benefit of HP/TQ (and points assigned for extra HP) drops off as we get into higher HP/TQ. The 28i engine already puts out a pretty healthy 260ft-lbs.

What’s VHS? That is the box in the bottom of your closet gathering dust along with your Commodore 64. 🙂

Fun fact… The last car to roll out of the factory with a cassette player was the 2010 Lexus SC430. 2010? That was a decade after BMW. WTF Lexus? How old are your customers?

congrats to Praneil on the win and all of the guys who made the top ten. It looks like a blast doing the full 90s looped course!

Thanks to the whole AX team for a great season. Best one yet! Wondering how they will top it next year. 😉
Hope it’s not too late to get my shirt – I finally bought a car and I’ve signed up for September. Look for car 4 if you’ve forgotten what I look like. And if you’re out of larges, a medium might work.

Thanks again for doing the shirt.
What car did you get? I saw your ad in Roundel a couple of months back? I have a friend who is just about to put his 1998 Estoril Blue M3 sedan up for sale. I was going to have him contact you but it looks like you already pulled the trigger..

I will be there. Reg is still open.

Driver’s meeting starts at 9a. I have not heard anything about lunch this year. More details should be available tomorrow.

LM Marina courses are usually super long. They love to make use of every square. I think last year the course was around 90s. They normally run in a LM parking lot where the runs are under 30s. So Marina is a nice change of pace.

awesome! I love my car (and helmet). :cheer:

The ///M color scheme works very well on grey and white. I will take one of each color (in your longest size of course).

I am registered. The 135 will not be ready in time (new rear springs are on back order until end of Jan). But I will be there with the Golf R. This is the one time I hope for rain. 😉

It was nice to (finally) get back and see the gang again.

Yes, but at least you are slow on fast tires. 😛
