Talking of getting lost, sometimes there are just too many cones, and the extra cones just confuse matters. Back at the May event (track map: http://ggcbmwcca.org/media/kunena/attachments/47/20130525-autocrossCourseDesign-FINAL.jpg) those first few corners were a sea of cones. All that was important were the apex cones. My wife was having real problems with those corners, I persuaded her to just look at the apex cones and it becomes a slalom.

Also it would be depressing to better my time, when it didn’t count. It would also be depressing to not better my time. So there’s no upside to doing fun runs. Of course my fastest run was my first.

It uses the iPhone’s accelerometers for the g-meter.
I’m experimenting with multiple cameras this week. I haven’t worked out how to edit a multicam video yet, so I’ve made a simple mosaic:

Am I right in thinking “Technical” is a codeword meaning tight and twisty and good for MINIs? The first gate of the slalom looks very tight, I’m not sure I’ve seen a 20ft one before.

Do you want us to point out suspicious results? (Like the top times in B and C. and my 53.6 was a DNF.)
