(Sorry for the spam on the autox forum).

It looks like I am on the market for a new shop for my E46 M3. I am looking for an indie shop who knows their stuff on BMWs, is familiar with track/autox cars (alignment, after-market parts…), is friendly, fairly priced and is in the South Bay (I live in San Jose, so SJ, Campbell, Los Gatos preferred, but will go further if necessary).

I have looked down the list at the end of the Bombe and the various ads, but I am not sure how to choose. I wish I lived in the East Bay! Any recommendation? PM me if you don’t want to advertise your opinion to everybody.

I have been trying to show up at the autox this year, but haven’t succeeded yet. I hope I’ll still be able to do at least a couple this season. The M3 has been having fun on track, but it needs a bit of lower-speed 11/10th driving too 🙂

I went to Rennworks once and didn’t like them. Otherwise I make the drive to Dublin.

There are several shops listed in the back of the Bombe that provide specials to club members.. One is Bavarian Motorsports with Ramon F. at the helm. I’ve heard nothing but good things.

We live in SJ and our family takes our BMW’s to Motor Speed West in Santa Clara. We recommended them to all our BMW friends.

See Ramon LeFrancois at Bavarian Motorsports. Great work, very reasonable prices.
