Great course with lots of places to make mistakes. (Made most of them)

Great video! Tells me a lot about what I did wrong! I’ve been looking a bit at making my own videos. Would you mind sharing what hardware/software you used to make this?

    Sure.

We use a ContourHD1080p camera with suction mount insde the car. QStarz datalogger and RaceRender software to sync the two up. I use Windows software to do a little editing and then post. Very quick and inexpensive. We never knew the mistakes we were making until we started watching the videos. Now I know what mistakes I’m making as it happens. (Not looking ahead, entered too hot, missing braking zone, bad line, etc)

Thanks for the photos as always! I was hoping someone caught a picture of me lifting a wheel so I could post it on all the other forums. The title would be something like : what NOT to do to your e30’s suspension. Man was it squirrely! Super fun course. A little scary. GREAT learning experience!

Is that rubbing it in for RG3? Sorry. I just hope the newer folks in RG3 still got just enough of a taste to get the hunger to come back next season.

Can we make photographer an official working position that people can volunteer for?

I always appreciate when people take pictures and post and it does require a significant amount of work both at the course and after to get photos available to the group.

At Matt’s urging I have asked Jeff to make photographer my work assignment for the TDS. Matt mentioned that there will be interest in photos to illustrate a Bombe article on the event. So I can cover half the cars that are running.

Absolutely! I’m hoping a couple more will step up too. I will bring my camera, like I do every month, but I’ll try to use it this time!
