I might run that on a rear tire, but probably not on a front tire. Just not worth the risk.

Seems the online classification site is closed. Should be able to update car points up to Oct 31st, right?

Looks like a fun course! I will need to focus on my car transition skills 🙂
Just a question: Has a finish that far away from the timing trailer worked ok for timing light function? Pretty long distance, but perhaps there is a teutonic power transmitter?

Hi Chris, I feel your frustration. Although there are quite a few wonderful autox clubs in the general Bay Area to run with, the number of sites is very limited and likely to get worse. BMWCCA runs a very successful and attractive autox series that is member only, but not necessarily BMW car only. Yes, like any hot ticket, register early. Porsche club is member only also, but they require you own a Porsche to join (not true for BMWCCA). Lotus club is open to member or non members, but also fills up quick (though not quite as fast as BMWCCA). SCCA allow online registration up to about 2 days prior to the event, and hasn’t had caps on entries. AAS runs mostly at Crows Landing and is a very friendly club and allows walk up registration day of event, with no caps on entries. All clubs have varying operation style, course style, costs. It’s all personal preference, can’t really go wrong with any. I’ve done them all, like the BMWCCA sandwiches best 🙂

That was a fun, fast course! Such a challenge chasing fast cars on a course like this. Couple spots got me, didn’t have the discipline or good execution. Thanks for another smooth event!

Ok, thanks for the info! Looking forward to the TDS! Likely driving only slightly faster than my bike can go, but it will still be fun!

Thanks Jack! The exponential thing didn’t make sense, but you clarified it!
    Understand it now.

This was a very fun course, easy to enjoy, but requiring some precision to go fast. I felt it was a good course for practicing looking ahead for key cones, just wish I did it better! Need more practice! Thanks to all for putting on this wonderful event!

[quote=”AutoXer” post=1928]Ya, Roger. Thanks for the quick post.
I knew I was slipping a bit, but to almost get beaten by a Supra

Don’t worry yet Mark. If I beat you in the Supra, then start worrying 😛
