I’m glad you got to ride, then! For a moment I thought I had taken your spot. Opportunities to ride in an air-cooled 911 and feel the rear-engined balance (prior to Porsche engineering out as much of said balance as they can in newer models) are increasingly rare given the market for these things, so I knew I had to give it a go. Just awesome.
I’d love to own one, but with prices continuing to increase… Maybe a Cayman…

My best of the day was a 49.558…

… But the real star of the show, in my opinion, was Brian’s 911 :D.

    My fastest run.

Looking forward to experimenting with tire pressures at the Test & Tune, to get closer to a neutral balance (or as close as I can on a staggered setup, anyway).

This was awesome! It was a lot of fun trying to figure out how much grip I had available as conditions worsened. More simply, sliding around in the rain is just plain fun.

Picking up the path through the crossover was a struggle for me in both directions, so I couldn’t really carry much speed :(.

Have to bump an old thread. I had no access to any of the threads in these forums until recently, otherwise I would have replied earlier.

Had a great time at the AX school! Tons of seat time, just what I needed. The surface was ‘interesting,’ but that might have made the day more instructive. Thank you to all of the instructors.

I know there was a photographer on-site. Were his pictures posted anywhere?
