PCA-LPR will be running at Marina 5/26 for those that want to get 2 days of AutoX in this weekend. Signups are light right now, probably because of Memorial Day weekend, so registration is being opened up to BMW club. They typically do 6 runs in the morning, 6 in the afternoon, so lots of runs!

Registration for LPR’s AX #3 on Sunday, May 26th in Marina is OPEN!!!

Mister Dunwoodie… I’ve never run with any of the PCA chapters. How does their AutoX compare to GGC? Do they have better lunches for $8 than we have for $5? Are they snooty to non-Pcar owners? Do they have a trailer as awesome as the GGC?

I probably can’t go due to family commitments, but just in case my wife tells me in advance to get lost all day Sunday, am curious about those PCA events.

This is your invitation to come out and find out for yourself. Realize that GGC is 4300 members, LPR only 500.

I haven’t tried the $8 sandwich, but nothing can compare with GGC’s huge $5 lunch. I need to talk with Jeff.

What a great autocross wkend – Saturday driving my M3 with the Bimmers and Sunday driving my M3 with the Porsches. Since you all were there on Saturday, i will just report on Sunday. Since there are fewer Porsches in the local world than BMWs, there are fewer cars at the Porsche autocrosses – only 43 drivers today and we all got 18 (not a typo: eighteen!) runs today! also, the weather was much better today at Marina than yesterday. True, the course was shorter, but still, 18 runs! and ok, the sandwiches are a little smaller for a little more money, but very tasty. I was happy with my drive times but *very* happy with the time i had today with the Porsche folks. So BMW people, expand your horizons about Porsche club autocrosses too!

Yes, but there are at least 3 PCA chapters in the Bay Area vs. one GGC CCA chapter for the whole Bay Area. Still I really wish I could have gone today. And so does my friend who did his first AutoX yesterday. He read the part about needing to own a Porsche to join PCA and thought that meant he wasn’t allowed to sign up.

Yes, there are 10 PCA regions in Northern California, 5 in the bay area. The largest is GGR with 2000 members.

    Here’s my video from today.
