    Never had so many punctures as on Norcal roads.. This one is a doosy though and destroy a 60 day old tire. Seems like my trusty old RE11’s are also in short supply. Rumour is Bridgestone is discontinuing..

    that’s huge [is what she said =]; i carry a tire plug kit in each car just in case

    There is no way any plug kit would enable that tire to hold air again!

    I like the old fashion kits that consisted of an extra tire mounted on a spare rim. I seem to recall that BMWs back in the olden days even had a space for them in the trunk.

    Yes, owning one of those older BMWs with a FULL SIZE SPARE is very handy. Luckily I have only been driving for 11 years and I still have yet to need to use it.

    i carry 1-2 full spares, the plugs are backup

    Well it held enough air to get to America’s Tire and then mounted a loaner tire while they sourced a replacement. Surprisingly, even though I did not buy any of the damage insurance, there prorated the tire wear on the new tire. I was expecting to buy a full replacement..

    Always got good service from the guys on Stevens Creek..
