I had a poster of that exact car on my wall through college and several years after. It was my inspiration to stay on top of my game. I never got to own one, but did get treated to a ride-along. It was just as fantastic as I thought it would be. Brought me back, way back. 🙂
I’m glad you got to ride, then! For a moment I thought I had taken your spot. Opportunities to ride in an air-cooled 911 and feel the rear-engined balance (prior to Porsche engineering out as much of said balance as they can in newer models) are increasingly rare given the market for these things, so I knew I had to give it a go. Just awesome.
I’d love to own one, but with prices continuing to increase… Maybe a Cayman…
